About
Welcome to the delightful world of Pizaro's Pizza Napoletana, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Houston at 1000 W Gray St suite 400. Specializing in authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, Pizaro's crafts its pies with passion and precision, bringing a taste of Italy right to your plate.
As you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked dough hits you, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both rustic and elegant. Here, every pizza is a celebration of high-quality ingredients—think Bufala Mozzarella and artisanal toppings like Prosciutto and Spicy Soppressata.
One of the highlights is the Patata e Funghi Pizza, featuring Yukon gold potatoes, oven-roasted mushrooms, and a drizzle of aromatic truffle oil. At US$17.00, this dish is a symphony of flavors, each ingredient harmoniously complementing the next. Another standout is the Fino Pizza, where cured fennel sausage meets creamy goat cheese in a delicious dance of taste.
Their specialty pizzas showcase creativity and freshness, with options like the Sweetpea Pizza, brimming with caramelized onions and bell peppers, or the Arugula Pizza, adorned with peppery arugula and shaved parmesan. Each slice is a testament to Pizaro's commitment to authenticity and flavor.
Beyond pizzas, Pizaro's offers a range of fresh salads that serve as great accompaniments. The Caesar Salad, with its crisp romaine and perfectly toasted croutons, is a classic choice, while the House Salad offers a refreshing mix of greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette.
If you’re looking to indulge in something different, don't miss out on their freshly baked Italian Flat Bread, brushed with garlic and olive oil, or topped with nutella for a sweet twist.

“ This place has the best pizza in houston hands down. I come here often and they’re always consistent. The dough is ON POINT! Been to the best pizzeria in the world in Naples, Italy and I can confidently say that Pizaro’s is up there with them. Even the gluten free option is fantastic. Very easy menu to follow and the customer service is unmatched. 10/10 recommend. My only suggestion is that they change their open hours to be 24/7. Haha ”
“ I attended a private corporate event and it was a lot of fun. We had drinks, learned about their business, watched them make fresh mozzarella cheese from curds (which tasted amazing), covered the corporate sponsor topics, then we all made our own personal pizzas. Besides pressing the dough and adding fresh sauce / toppings (of which they have more than shown), we literally got to toss the pizza dough in the air and spin in on our fists like in the movies. Bucket list item - check! I highly recommend this restaurant for a high quality meal or private corporate event, fresh with the tastes from Italy (been there twice), and even thick gluten free dough available. 5 stars. Thank you! ”
“ Absolutely had such a delightful, flavorful, pleasant time here!! I had a spritz, pizza and the most amazing sandwhich with cheese imported from Italy!! Still thinking about the crunch of the bread YUM!!!I am a HUGE crust girl, and this crust was crunchy but perfect amount of dough and had that brick oven taste LOVE LOVE LOVE the pizza! We even had a tuna pizza, who would have thought that, but DEFINITELY MUST TRY, I had a feta cheese strawberry salad and it was SO FRESH, made me feel so by the beach in summer mood! Can’t wait to go back and definitely signing up for a cooking class! ”
“ I don’t recommend many pizza joints, but there are a few and Pizaro’s Pizza is one of them. They have distinctly unique options to choose from with only the best ingredients, you’d think it would be a snooty place, but it isn’t at all. The servers/cashiers/waitstaff are excellent and leave nothing to be desired. Back to the pizza, the flavors and options are very well curated to each individuals taste from refined to basic, and although it is a bit pricy, you won’t be dissatisfied in the least. When you’re in the Montrose area come through and give them your patronage, as Houstonians we want small businesses to thrive and reward purveyors of good taste. Otherwise, the world would be pretty boring. Want some good pies? Go to Pizaro’s. ”
“ Pizaro's has the best New York-style pizza in town — hands down! I've been here a few times and tried all their styles. The Napoletana and Detroit-style are solid, but the New York-style really steals the show. Great service every time, and they offer lunch specials too. They also have a wide selection of wine and other drinks, plus plenty of seating and parking. Always a great experience! ”
“ Delicious pizza!!! We’ve been here a few times, and want to keep coming back to try more! We will be trying pizzas with the hot honey drizzled on top and jalapeno pesto, Delish!!! ”
“ Wow wow wow. Their pizza is amazing and worth the price. Everything is made from scratch and done so well. We got the Detroit style Jalapesto and NY style Billy Goat (without speck because we're vegetarian). Both exceeded our expectations and were so flavorful. Service was great and friendly. Restaurant clean. Plenty of parking. Definitely coming back! ”
“ Wow! Pizaro’s blew me away with its awesome pizza served various ways. The Napoletana pizza was just like I have had in Italy. The mozzarella was almost buttery and the sauce was rich but not the only thing you taste. You can tell they take pride in getting that dough right. The Detroit style was proof of that too. The way they crop the edges and get the topping perfectly melted is impressive. You know when you are in a serious pizza place when they have multiple types of pizza ovens! Absolutely worth a visit. Top 5 pizza in Houston for sure ”
